At last! Now I had find an fitting online gradebook for my classes. I really wanted to have one since I normally store electronic copies for my gradesheets.
I've tried Google docs (not extensibly). Then try Zoho. And I have also tried thinkfree. The last are a bit close or relevant to what I wanted to have. But they do have limitations though. The beauty in having an online workspace is one, anywhere I can be, I can do my work - give grades, check/monitor attendance. What is more important is of course, having an online copy of the student grade which can forever be just be recorded - so no worries of either deleting it in my PC, such as the case of my first gradesheets in the first year I taught.
Well, Im now at Engrade. The site is not that polish or has complex features. But it sure does have what you basically want such as an interface to check student attendace and giving them grades. What's good also is that student can subscribe to your class by having a unique access code (a combination of your username-their ID no.).
Probably its usability and features would improve with time. I look forward to have more of it in the future. But for now, it does give a great solution to my dire need - an online gradebook.
